Dr. Jennifer Smith

Dr. Jennifer Smith (her patients call her Dr. Jen) completed her dental training at the University of Alberta in 2004. She then moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where her husband was training to be an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. She practiced as a general dentist for several years and then pursued a 3 year Orthodontic Residency at The University of Michigan. After graduating in 2009, Dr. Jen moved back to her hometown of Calgary and practiced in the North-end of the city for 2 years. In October of 2011, Dr. Jen moved to Impact Orthodontics and is thrilled to be so close to the community where she grew-up (Lake Sundance).

Dr. Jen is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, a recognized orthodontic specialist by the Alberta Dental Association and College and is an active member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, Canadian Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and Alberta Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Jen is passionate about what she does everyday and enjoys all aspects of orthodontics. Her patients describe her as friendly, chatty and energetic. Dr. Jen strives to provide excellent orthodontic care in a family-friendly environment that appeals to patients of all ages.

Dr. Jen and her husband spend their free time enjoying activities with their 3 young children.

	Audrey Hi, I am a registered dental assistant with a certificate in orthodontics. I have been working as an orthodontic assistant since 1986. There is a lot about working in this field that I love. My top two would be building great relationships with our patients and seeing how a beautiful smile can bring confidence and happiness to someone. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my husband and our 2 dogs, relaxing, taking in the outdoors and listening to music.		Irene I am fortunate to be part of a great team here at Impact Orthodontics, and my life is enriched on a daily basis by the wonderful patients I am privileged to serve. I am a SAIT graduate and remain certified as an RDA, ortho module. I am also a Certified Gemologist. My husband is a custom goldsmith and artist and I have two terrific children who are currently working on establishing careers of their own. I love to spend summers in the garden or on the beach at Columbia Lake, and during the winter months I enjoy restoring old wooden furniture and decorating it with Norwegian rosemaling. Travel and education are also lifelong passions.
	Heidi Hi, I am a registered dental assistant. I graduated from SAIT in 1990 and have been working in the orthodontic field since 1995. I have one grown son. After being away for several years, my husband Greg and I are glad to be back in Calgary, near family and friends.
	Aliah  Hi, my name is Aliah.  I am the sterilization tech at Impact Orthodontics.  I have been working in the dental field for the past year and half and am really enjoying the new challenges it brings.  When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, my boyfriend and my dog Sunny.		Lisa Hi, my name is Lisa; I’ve been a dental assistant since 2002. I started off my dental career as an assistant in a pediatric dental practice, but chose the specialty of orthodontics because I find it to be so rewarding. I love that I get to take part in creating new smiles. When I am not working I enjoy traveling, scuba diving and most of all spending time with my husband Ron and our children.
	Laurie My name is Laurie and I am Dr. Jen’s treatment coordinator as well as being an RDA with my orthodontic module. I have been with Impact Orthodontics since 2010 and am loving the challenge of treatment coordinating. My husband, 2 daughters and I love spending time in Idaho or on our Mac’s – we are all Apple addicts!
